Wolf Blass has been awarded three Trophies, two Gold Medals and three Silver Medals at the 2018 Lipman Karas Great Australian Red competition, including the coveted Riedel Trophy for the Best Winery of Show.

Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Shiraz 2016 was awarded the Quervin Trophy for the Best Cabernet-Dominant Blend and Wolf Blass Grey Label Cabernet Shiraz 2016 was awarded the Openbook Howden Trophy for The Best Wine $25-$60.

The Lipman Karas Great Australian Red is a wine competition created by Matthew Jukes and Tyson Stelzer to recognise and celebrate the blend that defines Australia: Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Judged every year since its inauguration in 2006, the competition is highly regarded in wine circles domestically and internationally as one of Australia’s key specialist wine shows.

Wolf Blass has been one of the most successful exhibitors across the thirteen years of the competition, having won a total of 13 Trophies and 15 Gold Medals, including the Riedel Trophy for the Best Winery of Show in 2014 and 2012, and the prestigious Great Australian Red Trophy in 2013 and 2007 for the 2009 and 2004 Black Labels.

Congratulations to the Wolf Blass team for this outstanding result.
